Was this woman from the Wilmington neighborhood of Los Angeles ever identified?

True crime writer Alice de Sturler has a website entitled Defrosting Cold Cases where this entry caught my eye:

On August 3, 1986, an unidentified man I call Conroe Lake John Doe was found floating in Conroe’s Crater Lake. He was bound to two concrete cinder blocks with an electrical cord. Authorities think that the unidentified man was white, approx. 30 years old, 5 feet 6, and he may have been known under the street name “New York Billy.” I don't know why. This man has three distinctive tattoos: two on the left arm and one on the right arm. The right upper arm says “Baby Dawn.” The left upper arm says “Liz.” The left lower arm seems to be an unfinished tattoo. Please check the pictures in the blog post. If you have any information about this unidentified man, the tattoos or you think you know who “Liz and Dawn” are, please call Montgomery County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP (7867) or check their website. You can also contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Squad directly at 281-297-6508 or ask for these detectives: Detective Terance Greenwood at (936) 538-3781 or Detective Ken Bivens at (936) 538-3765. Last check 9/2018.

The paragraph caught my eye as Rasmussen spent time in Conroe, electrical cord was used in the crime, and the tattoo names Liz and Dawn are reminiscent of names from the Bear Brook case. Likely just coincidental but worth pondering.

The unidentified remains found in 1974 in Marlborough, NH. If they are not those of Rory Kesinger, could they belong to the mother of Rasmussen's daughter? Are the remains still missing? Somewhere along the way, I thought I read that DNA had been submitted for this victim.

When we learned that "Bob Evans" had lived at 925 Hayward St in Manchester, we thought about his proximity to the Easter Seal program and the children who received services there. Could Rasmussen have befriended the mother of a special needs child in order to gain access to her daughter?

We need to learn more about missing woman Song Im Joseph who reportedly vanished in 1975 from Delaware. As of early 2018, NamUs reported there was no DNA available for her. Per her Charley Project page, her husband Alton "has criminal convictions in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, as well as a 2001 federal conviction for transporting explosives without a license; during his period of military service he had stolen over twenty pounds of C4 from the base." I'd like to know more about the husband's ties to NH- when he was there and where he served in the military. Could she be the mother of Rasmussen's child (the Asian heritage accounting for the shovel shape dentition)? Perhaps Eunsoon wasn't the first Korean woman Rasmussen was involved with.

Missing girl Dorothy Mildred Clitheroe from Phoenix, AZ in 1973. There is very little information online about her and despite her uncommon last name, I couldn't find any mention of her family and their search for her. Some sites state "she may have traveled to Portland, Oregon or Houston, Texas." I'd like to know more about her possible travels, especially as all three towns mentioned in her case are towns that Terry Rasmussen also visited. I believe she has DNA in the system so probably no connection... but it bothers me that there is so little information available about a missing 14 year old. And her picture? I'm having trouble believing that it is a picture of a 14 year old.

Dismembered remains of an unidentified woman found less than 2 hours from Bear Brook State Park in the late  1980s. She apparently has DNA in the system but best to keep her on the radar. (There seems to be conflicting dates as to when she was found- I need to confirm). Websleuths reference to case.

I need to verify that this girl eventually turned up.

And since the isotope map for the woman and girls touched Mexico (and probably extended farther south), what about a story similar to this? Perhaps several girls brought into the US with an older sister? According to some accounts, Rasmussen spoke fluent Spanish, maybe he used it to cultivate his next "family?"

Was this murder ever solved? Who was the father of Susan June Wiley's daughter Jean? Somewhere in this time frame there may be a story like this and the child is Rasmussen's.

Baytown, TX. An area Rasmussen was apparently familiar with.

And this story... A guy who apparently targeted Asian boys and girls

Wondered at first if the sketch above could be of Phillip Garrido (abductor of Jaycee Lee Dugard) but he was incarcerated at the time in Kansas. Could the man pictured above be responsible for the abduction and murder of the Chia siblings in 1989 in Reno? I wonder what James Grooms (a suspect in the Chia case) looked like in 1985?
.
Nga Thi Nguyen. 1983. Six years old when abducted and killed.

Was this abductor just going to leave her there?

And this woman, Sandra Webb from Alabama, but found beaten to death in Texas. What is her back story?
We need to learn more about her children.
And since Houston is an hour's drive from Galveston, I really doubt the account of this "Good Samaritan" aka the likely killer.

The way this news account is worded suggests that Barbara Kennedy may have been off the radar for a while or out of touch with people who knew her. Could it have been long enough to have a daughter with a drifter who took her east with him?

This woman kidnapped an 11 month old girl in Tempe AZ in 1975 from the young parents who had taken the woman in. Although she and the baby were soon located in Phoenix, this woman's story is a little puzzling.

She used aliases (Catherine Joyce Norris, Nancy Maria Bostell, Sue Hickle). Police identified her eventually as either Nancy Maria Anderson or Nancy Madeline Anderson but I'd like to verify this. She worked at Capell Brothers Carnival and told some people she was from Florida and others she was from Boston. The Souders described her as speaking with a Georgia dialect. They also said her mouth was distinct as one of her upper teeth was missing and another quite decayed.
She said she was having trouble with an ex-husband or boyfriend and police in Coolidge TX who were looking for her on theft charges (prior to the Souders kidnapping) thought she had headed for Tucson with a male companion.
So what happened to these children? And somewhere I believe that I read that she was wanted on a warrant out of Nevada where she also had a baby daughter in foster care.
Need to make sure that she is accounted for.

Was anyone ever arrested for this?

As of 1993, this guy still wasn't caught. Wonder what other crimes against children he committed?

Rasmussen may have been in St. Louis. Wonder if this poor child crossed his path?

Taunye Lynn Moore. Dismembered, decapitated, found in trash bags behind a Los Angeles motel in 1974. "Morrow County Prosecuting Attorney Charles Howland theorized on April 3 that Taunye’s killer most likely had “a pathological hatred of women.” Sounds like a Rasmussen type of situation although no evidence that he traveled to that area in that time frame.

Any bodies found in 55 gallon drums in 1985 are of interest. Too bad the NamUs listing for this body doesn't include the fact that he was found in a barrel.

The abductor in this story was never caught. Could he be Rasmussen?

Or 12 year old Suzie Mages of Denton, TX, whose body was found in October 1977 in a Dallas gravel pit. I couldn't find a sketch of the suspect but found 2 descriptions.
and

New NamUs listing for a missing mother and daughter: Janet M Shuglie and her 10 year old daughter Marissa. Janet's listing says "Missing since June 30, 1985. Victim and her 10 year old daughter, Marissa Shuglie, left room 19 of the Coleman Motel in Somerset, PA and walked north on Rt. 985. They were never seen again." Marissa does not  have her own page in  NamUs yet.

New NamUs listing.  Found 1980 in Philadelphia: Severely decomposed female body found in vacant house wrapped in trash bags and bound with electrical cord.

What made him think the child was on the east coast?

This pregnant Marlene. What was she up to?

Wonder when Rasmussen got his pick-up with a shell camper on it?

Could "The Lady of the Dunes" found in 1974 in Provincetown MA be Paula (Harvey) Govoni who disappeared from MA in 1971? Or is she the woman in the barrel in NH? And why isn't Paula Govoni listed in NamUs? Or did she turn up? Time to contact Paul Richard Govoni to ask about his wife.

Anyone know if this little girl was claimed by anyone or what became of her?

Although we think it is unlikely that the Allenstown victims (and the mother of Rasmussen's child in the barrel) appear on any official missing persons lists, we are interested in  women/girls who went missing during the 1970s.  These are the listings for females who went missing between Jan 01, 1970 and Dec 31, 1981 whose DNA status in NamUs are other than "Sample submitted - Tests complete."

Thinking about those "grass mushrooms" that Rasmussen told Lisa had killed her siblings. Wonder if he based the story on an actual event such as this one in California in 1983? Could he have been involved with someone from the Laotian community? Perhaps the mother of his child in the barrel is from one of the immigrant communities. Eunsoon was Korean and the people whose store he lived at in CA were middle eastern, perhaps Rasmussen sought out minority communities to blend into.

Probably should make sure that this has nothing to do with anything we are looking into.

This abductor caught our eye as a possibility for being  Rasmussen.

I think it would be worthwhile for LA authorities to look closer at the files that remain on this case.

REGINA MAY BE IN CALIFORNIA RIDER SAYS 2 ON BUS LOOK LIKE GIRL, SUSPECT: [3 STAR Edition]

Jim Leusner and Bob Levenson
Orlando Sentinel;  [Orlando, Fla] 04 Aug 1985: B.1.

Regina Mae Armstrong, the 6-year-old girl kidnapped from the parking lot of an apartment building near her Orlando home June 18, might have been seen with her abductor riding a bus in Southern California, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
On Thursday a man riding a city bus to San Pedro, south of Los Angeles, said he saw a girl who resembled the picture of Regina shown on a CBS-TV public service announcement. The girl the witness reported seeing was riding the bus with a man who acted suspiciously, said Los Angeles police Detective Larry Kallastad.
"The guy kept pulling the girl close to him and she seemed frightened," Kallastad said.
The witness, a man from Lawndale, Calif., gave police a description that closely matched that of the man police believe abducted Regina in Florida, Kallastad said.
Police circulated pictures of the girl Saturday in the San Pedro neighborhood where the pair was seen. The bus stopped at the intersection of Western Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway, south of Los Angeles and near Long Beach.
Police Lt. Ted Oglesby said eight officers and a police dog were searching for Regina Saturday night, knocking on doors in the area where the witness reported seeing the pair. Oglesby would not say anything else about the case. "We don't want to chase this guy away, if it's the right guy," Oglesby said. "We don't want to blow what we have."
Orlando police Sgt. Sheila Glass said Los Angeles police told Central Florida investigators of the reported sighting late Friday. She said the two have been seen at least twice in the same area of Los Angeles since the sighting Thursday -- once Friday night and Saturday morning on a bus.
"From what I understand, this is a park area where transients do stay," she said.
The three sightings were in the area of the park south of Los Angeles.
Glass said in all the sightings, witnesses told Los Angeles police the man had a sore on his upper lip. Witnesses in Orlando have said the same thing.
"From everything they've told us, the only thing that's been circulating out there is pictures of Regina," Glass said Saturday night. "So whoever saw her wouldn't have known what the kidnapper looked like. That makes it look pretty good."
Although it has been almost seven weeks since the kidnapping, Glass said the suspect likely still would have a sore. Witnesses have described it as a scar that appears to be more permanent than a sore.
She said Orlando police have no plans to send anyone to Los Angeles. Detective Bob Mundy, one of two lead investigators on the case, will talk with Los Angeles detectives by phone, she said.
"I've always been kind of optimistic that something would turn up," she said. "As long as her body hasn't turned up, I believe she's alive."
Orlando police Maj. Robert LaBreck, head of criminal investigations, said he probably would not send investigators to California unless police there ask him to or until a suspect is taken into custody.
"I hope it's a good lead and we can go out and put somebody in custody and get Regina back," LaBreck said.
He said his agency has diligently checked most of the 1,800 leads on the case, but he said investigators are going to recheck about 500 of those leads. He said fliers with Regina's photograph and a sketch of the suspect may be sent to California.
Glass said Orlando police had not notified Regina's parents as of late Saturday night.
The family could not be reached for comment.
There have been several reported sightings of Regina and/or her abductor in Central Florida, but none in the last month that police believe are legitimate.
The girl was abducted by a man who approached her and two companions in the parking lot of an east Orlando apartment building where a baby sitter was caring for them. The man offered the two other children money to watch an apartment for him and asked Regina to accompany him to pick up his grandchildren.
The California witness said the girl has fair skin, is 3-foot-5, with long, sandy brown hair, bangs and a gap in her front teeth, police said. The description is similar to Regina's.
The suspect is described as a white man, 25 to 40 years old, 5- foot-10, and weighing about 140 pounds, Los Angeles police said. He has brown shoulder- length hair. Witnesses in Orlando said the man was 30 to 40 years old, 6 feet tall with dark hair, a sore on his upper lip and a tattoo on his left forearm.

4-YEAR-OLD CLAIMS SHE'S REGINA-IT'S FALSE ALARM

Bob Levenson and M.C. Poertner Orlando Sentinel  25 Aug 1985

A 4-year-old girl told a baby sitter she was Regina Mae Armstrong Saturday night, but Orlando police said early today that fingerprints showed the girl to be someone else.
The girl, whose first name is Regina, was dropped off at about 10:30 p.m. at an apartment building at 415 S. Delaney Ave. by a man police said was her father, about 10:30 p.m., police spokesman Jeff Peck said.
Peck said the girl was left with the security guard at the apartment building and the guard was to take care of her. But police did not know exactly why she was left there.
A security guard at the apartment building was to take care of the girl, although police did not know exactly why she was left there.
Peck said the girl told the guard and his wife her name was Regina Armstrong. The woman, who apparently did not know the child, well, called police.
Peck said the girl "had a lot of knowledge" about the disappearance of the 6-year-old Orlando girl and had seen posters of Regina.
"What we have is a typical 4-year-old who
was quite communicative," Peck said. " She embellished the story."
Peck said the girl looks a little like Regina, but is "much shorter." The girl, who police declined to identify, was fingerprinted. The prints did not match those of Regina.
Peck said the girl was staying with her father at a local hotel. He said the girl was turned over to the state Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services. The father was being questioned by police early Sunday.
Peck said he didn't know if the father had any role in his daughter's claiming to be Regina.
Regina has been missing since June 18 when she was kidnapped from the parking lot of an east Orlando apartment building. The search for her and her abductor has been the most intensive manhunt in the city's history and has drawn national attention.
This is the latest of several false alarms. The most notable was when several people said earlier this month they saw Regina her in Los Angeles. Los Angeles police later determined the girl spotted was not Regina.
Regina was kidnapped June 18 from the parking lot of an east Orlando apartment building while playing with her sister Christina, 9, and a young boy.
Christina and the boy told police a man approached them in the parking lot and said he would pay them to watch an apartment for him. The man told Regina he wanted to take her with him to pick up his grandchildren and said he would bring her back in a half-hour, the children said.
After waiting a few minutes the children realized Regina might not be coming back, and they told their baby sitter what had happened.
The baby sitter, who had been caring for Regina and Christina, called police about an hour after the kidnapping, after searching for the girl herself.
Within hours about 70 officers from four local departments were searching a 3-square-mile area.
Regina's disappearance touched off the city's largest manhunt.
The week after the kidnapping, 200 Navy cadets along with firefighters and Orlando police officers searched an 18-square-mile area for three days.
At its peak, hundreds of officers, including 40 detectives, were involved in the search, the largest manhunt in the city's history.
Investigators concentrated on finding Regina and her abductor somewhere in metropolitan Orlando. Her abductor is described as a white man, 30 to 40 years old, 6 feet tall, with dark hair, a tattoo on his left forearm and a scar or sore on his upper lip.
Tips poured in as publicity about the case spread. There were reports in July that a girl resembling Regina was seen at one Orlando fast-food restaurant and then another. A suspicious man was reported seen with the girl. The trail cooled, with no positive sightings of Regina.
The search broadened. Volunteers fanned out across the area, combing woods and brushy areas, searching for a sign of the girl or her body. Nothing was found.
The search has continued to expand, however, bringing into action hundreds of law enforcement officers throughout the nation. A New York psychic also has become involved.
Then, earlier this month Los Angeles police assigned 25 officers to the case when reports surfaced that Regina was seen in that city. The reports proved unfounded.
When Regina Mae Armstrong disappeared June 18, her abduction touched off a quickly expanding search. Since then, the search for the Orlando girl has involved hundreds of law enforcement officers throughout the country, volunteers and a New York psychic.
The amount of publicity surrounding Regina's case has been unusual, but so was the case.
In most cases children are found within hours, investigators say. They have either run away or have been taken by a family member or friend in a custody dispute.
"I don't think anybody in the department has ever worked a case where we had such solid evidence of a kidnapping like this right away," Orlando police Sgt. Sheila Glass said.
Regina, 6, was taken while playing with her older sister and a boy. They told police the man offered them money to watch an apartment for him. The man then told Regina he would take her to get his grandchildren. The two older children left, and Regina has not been seen since.
A baby sitter caring for Regina and her sister called police about an hour after the kidnapping, after searching for the girl herself. Within hours about 70 officers from four local departments were searching a 3-square-mile area.
The week after the kidnapping, 200 Navy cadets along with firefighters and Orlando police officers searched an 18-square-mile area for three days.
More than 40 Orlando detectives have worked on the case. Six of them still are assigned to the search. Volunteers helped police answer telephone calls providing information about Regina.
Officially Regina is listed as a kidnapping victim with the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Washington, D.C.
The FBI has worked on the case by checking federal prison release records of sex offenders and offering advice, she said.
The FBI was notified during the first week of the search, and the missing children center within two weeks.
The Adam Walsh Child Resource Center in Orlando has sent posters across the country bearing a photo of Regina and a composite sketch of her kidnapper. John Walsh made an appeal for Regina's return on two national news shows last month. Walsh, who has campaigned nationally for increased awareness of child abuse and abductions, is the father of Adam Walsh, kidnapped in Broward County four years ago and killed.
Regina's picture has appeared on one of several CBS television public service announcements on missing children.
Last week, Advo-System Inc., a Hartford, Conn., direct-mail advertising company announced that it would display the Orlando girl's picture and information about her on advertising post cards as part of a campaign to publicize missing children.
Self-proclaimed psychic Todd McBride, 20, a custodian at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., led Regina's parents on a 10-hour search Saturday through the woods south of Lake Jessup in Seminole County. Afterward, Regina's mother, Donna Armstrong, said the family would keep searching. "I don't know where we're going to look next, but we're going to keep searching."
Sadly, Regina's skull and dress were found in an Oviedo, FL housing development in September, 1987 by construction workers. The rest of her remains were never located.

Coincidences. We have learned to move past them. But when it comes to Clarence Ronald McCoy and his life, the similarities to Rasmussen were startlingly uncanny. Apparently Rasmussen has a criminal doppelganger:

McCoy killed his wife and dumped her body (found armless)
Bragged he could kill people and they would never be found
Wife named Donna
Abandoned his little girl in a supermarket
Had many aliases, including “Bill Jensen”
Said he was an army medic
Delivered his child in the back of a camper
Told his wife’s parents they had to vanish because bill collectors were after them
Told the police his wife was under a strain and vanished
Worked in the oil fields
Was an electrician and opened a repair shop for TVs and cooling systems — by all accounts he could fix anything that ran on current
Daughter born in Denver, CO
Stole at least 3 vehicles including a pickup truck
Was a fugitive from justice
Had an ex-wife and a child in TX
Had warrants for forgery, check fraud and theft,
Became a supervisor in a shipyard
Had a drinking problem
Moved from woman to woman

(Removed the articles we had posted on McCoy because we located Donna's sister who looked at pictures of Rasmussen and confirmed that McCoy was a separate individual and not an alias of Rasmussen's)

Oregon. Arizona. Aliases. Fluent Spanish. Hmm.

1973 California. Could Rasmussen have been juggling two families- one in Newhall and the one we know about in Redwood City? Might be worth asking the Mussers what Willaim (sic) Murray looked like in the event that all four of those girls were not his biological children.

There are so many odd stories out there. Like this one from 1983. A 28 year old woman named Elizabeth Diane Hamlin, from Huntsville TX, abandoned her four children, Trevor, 6, Sissy, 5, Kevin, 3, and Jason, 2, at a McDonald's restaurant in Memphis, TN. She was arrested in Chattanooga after a Salvation Army clerk recognized her from news accounts about the abandoned children. At first, Elizabeth said she was abducted by her traveling companions, Indianapolis couple Robert Lee Yeary, 42, and his wife, Carolyn Sue Yeary, 29. However, soon Elizabeth, the Yearys, and an "unidentified male" are charged with aggravated rape involving two of the children and the Yearys are also charged with raping their 7 year old adopted daughter while working at Tellico River Ministries Camp. Police also found "97 sexually explicit photographs of the Yearys, an unidentified woman, and what appeared to be a man dressed as a woman" in Mrs. Yeary's purse.

Somewhere in here, Robert Yeary tells police that there is a body of a child in an outside toilet on the Tellico Camp property and they do a 3 hour search but don't find anything. [Interestingly, in 1989 an informant tells authorities that a 13 year old girl witnessed the burial of a boy at the camp on June 9, 1989. They also search and don't find anything]. Elizabeth's estranged husband, Donald Hamlin, who was awaiting trial in Knoxville on embezzlement charges, was awarded custody of his four children.
Several very disturbing things about this story that need to get looked at.

Meaghan of the Charley Project mentioned missing siblings Lillian (Annette) and Mylette Anderson on her blog. Missing out of FL in 1974. I'd never heard of them and seeing that they were 11 and 6 when they vanished, it made me wonder if there was any chance they could be the two oldest Allenstown girls. What if Lillian had a child down the road who was the youngest victim? Update: They have now been added to NamUs where it states that DNA is not available: Annette and Mylette.

Anyone know the backstory on this girl? Her face is similar to how I have always imagined the oldest Allenstown child to look

Sometimes a story seems so hauntingly similar to that of Dawn/Lisa's. Phoenix, Los Angeles, Ramussen, aliases, abducted child, molested child, abandoned child. Such is the story of Inez Jean Sanders.

Was there ever an arrest in the death of 4 year old Heidi Peterson who went missing in Seattle in 1974 and whose body was found in odd circumstances in 1975?

Thinking about isotopes while looking over the slides from the November 2015 NH Press Conference (these are direct quotes):
Isotope Results: The 3 related females show consistent isotope values for the region where their bodies were found, suggesting that they could be from New Hampshire or from a nearby state. The values suggest they were from an area closer to the Atlantic coast versus further inland.
Isotope Analysis:  Based on the totality of the isotope results from 2009 and 2015 it is more likely than not that all four victims are from the Northeast region.
Reminder to self to look at what is most logical.

Rasmussen was discharged from the Navy in 1967 and moved to Hawaii. I wonder if he visited his old home town of Phoenix, AZ prior to his move to Hawaii? The unsolved homicide of Carmen Dawn Goll in Phoenix that year makes me wonder.

Rasmussen worked for "Otto" when he lived in Phoenix. Perhaps this was the man:

Or perhaps this man:

One of the stories we became involved in when looking for the identities of the Allenstown victims.

The unidentified dead man found in May 1982 in Newton MA. Any chance the Allenstown victims were his family?  White male age 35-45 yrs old, 5’6” to 5’8”, 150-160 lbs, dark brown hair with full beard and moustache. Been seen around the area for a few weeks, apparently lived in the Marks home during that time, thought he may have been homeless. No tattoos or scars. Died by apparently self-inflicted gunshot. Only clue: the letter “S” written with a ballpoint pen on the tongue of his work boot. NOT in NamUs.

This unidentified woman was probably killed too early to be the mother of Rasmussen's child but looking forward to her DNA testing finishing up. Some in NH wonder if she was another victim of the Die Hard Motorcycle Club as her body was found in Bedford NH not far from where they dumped Wanda Graham's body.
Wonder if there is DNA available for Quebec's missing Marthe Turcotte? Less than a month from the time Marthe went missing until this body was found in NH in October of 1971. I'd like to see Marthe's DNA run against the Allenstown woman's as well. And I wonder why Wanda Madeiros Reine missing out of Massachusetts doesn't have a NamUs page? She vanished in March of 1971. Could she be the woman found in Bedford in October of 1971? Just a 2.5 hour trip from East Falmouth, MA to Bedford.

UPDATE: Christine Elizabeth Thomas had a brief listing in NamUs as missing in 1974 from Lima, Ohio with two children. She was found alive so was removed from the system.

Could these be connected to Rasmussen?

As Rasmussen once lived in Conroe, perhaps this woman crossed his path. Too bad there is no DNA available for her.

Knowing that Rasmussen had ties to Colorado, could this woman's disappearance be connected to him? She can't be the woman in the barrel if the timeline is correct as she didn't have a child in 1975 but...
Initial inquiry underway for DNA.

A woman's skull was found in VT in 2012. Her NamUs page states that authorities believe she was between the ages of 15 and 40 and was Asian. There was insufficient DNA for profiling and her dental information has not been added to the database. Could Rasmussen have been involved with another Asian woman prior to Eunsoon Jun, perhaps one that he had a child with? Danby is not that far from Allenstown.

The little unidentified girl found in 1973 in the foothills of Fontana, CA. Per her NamUs listing, she was found with a "child's rosary with "gold colored" crucifix." A 1975 articles in the San Bernadino Sun states that her ribs were crushed.

This woman (newly entered into NamUs) found in 1982 in Massachusetts. Too short to be Denise but could she be the mother of Rasmussen's daughter found in the barrel? Wonder what happened to her remains, could they be exhumed to retrieve DNA?

Wonder if the missing Oregon woman Kim Charleson could have crossed paths with Rasmussen? She has a rather strong resemblance to the composite of his daughter. Her DNA tests were recently completed so likely the results have excluded her ... but it was VERY recently so who knows?

Or could this woman be the mother of Terry's daughter? She was found in a trunk in a state park in Maryland in the summer of 1982 and authorities believe she may have been there for 3 or more years. Unfortunately no DNA on file.

Wonder if there is any chance that this little girl could be the 6 month old that Rasmussen had when he showed up in 1984 in CA with Lisa?
https://www.identifyus.org/en/cases/5722

In light of the recent news about a possible Oregon connection for Rasmussen, we wish we knew more about this female pelvic bone that was discovered in 1985 in Eugene. They have DNA so likely not...

"Little Miss Nobody" found in AZ in 1960. Could this unidentified child have been Rasmussen's first victim?

Could the unidentified dead woman found in Connecticut in 1975 wrapped in a tarp and bound with electrical cord be another victim of Rasmussen's? Or the female UID found in NYC in 1991 who was found bound with electrical cords? Or the female UID found in 1975 in CA wrapped in a brown blanket and tied with an electrical cord? Or the female UID found in 1996 in New Mexico wrapped in six plastic bags tied with electrical wire?

The Moynihan murders?

The Janet and Christina Carter case?

That little girl of his that wound up in a barrel in NH. What if he didn't leave her mother dead in his travels but abducted his daughter in a story like that of Melissa Suzanne HighsmithWe know he answered an ad for a handyman, perhaps he answered one for a babysitter? (And as he answered ads, did he also run ads for his handyman services?)

Found a story about an abandoned child in Texas which has led to an interesting development. More about this on the Looking For You page.

We submitted NamUs MP # 11096 Deborah Tomlinson out of Oregon as a possible match for the Allenstown woman (we know Tomlinson has DNA in the system but...)

UPDATE: Ruled out as Denise. We wondered if Denise Beaudin could be the unidentified woman (NamUs UP # 4527) found in April of 1984 at the edge of a shallow grave in Hockley, Harris County TX? Brown hair, about 65 inches tall, had likely given birth at least once, estimated to have been dead about 6 months.

Or perhaps NamUs UP # 10742 (found 1986 in Yavapai County AZ)

Or if the woman in the barrel in Allenstown could be this woman missing out of Quebec?

QUESTIONS

Rasmussen allegedly wrote in a note that he sent with the people he gave Lisa to that he had been afraid that she was going to be born with Down Syndrome because her mother was an older woman. Per newspaper accounts, this note stated that Rasmussen planned to bury her "next to an ant hill" if the baby didn't have the normal amount of fingers and toes when she was born. Could he have killed his own daughter because she had a disability and seen Denise's daughter as the healthy replacement for his own? Was Elizabeth the older mother (closer in age to Rasmussen himself) and is maternal age why he was so resistant to Eunsoon Jun having children?

Rasmussen was arrested twice in one year for theft of electricity. Could that be because he had bodies stored and he couldn't risk losing power to his freezer? Perhaps the dismemberment was necessary for the freezer and not so much for the barrels.

What better place for a pedophile on the hunt to work at than at Disney Land? We know Rasmussen was in the Anaheim area, maybe that's where he worked as an electrician when in Orange County.

Thinking about Rasmussen's use of aliases and his likely glee in muddying the waters about who he was and where he came from. He told people that Lisa was the daughter of Denise "Laporte" which wasn't Denise's last name but he did steal an identity from La Porte TX. He told people he was born in Evanston WY (not true) but he used the surname "Evans" as an alias. What other games did he play with names and the places?  And all those Curtises appearing in his names- one Curtis identity he stole- Curtis Mayo Kimball- but why use Curtis as a middle name in a different alias, Gordon Curtis Jensen, or with a different combination of names- Curtis Rollin Kimball? Perhaps he carried one name into the next, a proverbial trail of identity breadcrumbs so he could find his way back. Such a cagey man. Such a Mocker Man.

Wonder if the Norwegian psychic detective will weigh in again in light of the new information?

What's with all those male suffixes at the end of Rasmussen's aliases? Son, man, don. . Jameson, Vannerson, Jenson, Gorman, Mockerman, Jordon. Feeling like a nonperson for being sexually attracted to little children so trying to root himself in masculinity?

Just as Terry Rasmussen's four children did not know of the existence of his daughter who wound up in the barrel, is it possible he has other living children out there? If so, and they could be found, this could shed light on his travels and possibly help identify his barrel victims. Hope the Rasmussen children have submitted DNA to Ancestry and 23andme.

Thomas Camille Patterson. It would be good to know more about this guy and his father. Wonder what the research shows on the percentages of killers who dismember their victims also being child molesters? Is there a linkage in the pathology?

I couldn't find a follow-up story about this child and wonder if she was eventually claimed? (click on story to enlarge)

Could this woman be from New Hampshire?

This unidentified woman was found at a campsite in Cave Junction, OR in 1971. Investigators believe that she may have grown up in the "northeast corner of the US." She was wearing a ring with the letters "AL" scratched onto the surface.
 Her NamUs page

This young woman from a cultish group- did she give her baby away to group members or to someone she met at the campground?

Those 2 unidentified children found in Wayne County NY in 1980 along the shores of Lake Ontario. NamUs One and Two. Gender not determined and insufficient DNA for profiling. What is their story?

Where on the east coast? Who was the enticer?

Odd story all around. (2 articles)

This child was eventually identified as Angie Lee Kimberlin after a grandmother came forward to claim her. A judge terminated parental rights in Jan 1978 with the aim of clearing the way for the child to be placed for adoption. Not sure if the grandmother waged an appeal.

Always wondered about Robert Eugene Whitacre whose wife Carmel Sue was killed in NH and her body wasn't found for a decade or so. I'd like to see a picture of this guy even though he apparently died in 2003 in San Benito CA. A military guy, wouldn't take a lie detector test re. Carmel's disappearance and put their baby son up for adoption in CA against the wishes of the baby's maternal grandparents. Exceedingly cold man.

  6. I am listening to back episodes of the Crime Junkie podcast. The episode "Murdered: Tent Girl" has some aspects that are eerily similar to the background of the suspected Allenstown perpetrator. It's apparently not him, but there must have been other individuals with similar activities at that time.

  7. It is such a relief to finally have the identities of the mother, and her two daughters that were found in the barrels. I noticed a couple interesting similarities to the disappearance of Denise Beaudin, and Dawn. In both cases they were last seen on Thanksgiving, and their families did not report them missing. Also it might be worth noting that Honeychurch, and her daughters went missing from Ca. and were found deceased in New Hampshire. Dawn aka Lisa was missing from N.H., and surfaced in California. Where is Denise Beaudin?
